Take Care of Your Floors Between Cleanings

For best results, Porter Floor Sanding & Refinishing recommends you clean your newly restored floors regularly. Clean daily with a Swiffer or non-abrasive cloth, which will remove dust, dirt, hair and debris that may have accumulated. This will prolong your floor's beauty between professional cleanings.

• Never wax your floors or use vinyl or tile floor cleaners
  
• Don't use Murphy’s oil, flax soap or Pledge
  
• Avoid commercial wood cleaning products

Use a Vinegar and Water Solution

If you need a deeper cleaning, use a solution of 1 cup vinegar to 1 gallon of water. Soak a towel in the solution and ring out as much water possible, then wipe the floor with a damp towel and touch dry to eliminate streaks.
